Premiere Huge Success

The Reel Paddling Film Festival premeired February 5, 2009 at the Princess Cinema in Waterloo, Ontario. A sold out audience escaped the cold Ontario winter joining Rapid Media publisher Scott MacGregor for an evening of this year's best paddling films. The audience were the first to cast their votes for the new Yakima People's Choice Award and were the first to recieve a free one-year digital edition subscription to Rapid, Adventure Kayak, Canoeroots or Kayak Angler magazine with the price of admission.

Here's what John Tutt of Princess Cinema had to say, "Thanks for coming down! I am sure it made the night a reel treat to have you at the launch. I was blown away that we sold a record 69 tickets at the door that night. Thanks again for what you did last night, I think the Reel Paddling Fest is something that will pay dividends in the coming years ahead, for sure."
