Facing East Producer's Acceptance Speech on Winning Environmental Category
The producer of Facing East, Matt Hobbs, (Best Enivronmental Film this year) sent us his acceptance speech.
"I would like to thank everyone at the Reel Paddling Festival! It took well over three years of hard independent work to make this possible. With out the ineradicable venue of the "Reel Paddiling Festival" my film still might have remained unnoticed in the kayak community. But it has given me a opportunity to outlet my film to the right market and people."
Matt went on to say "Being titled "Best Environmental Film", I have been overwhelm with the pride and confidence that Facing East will help shift the way we think about the world and the way we live on this beautiful planet. I knew that Vital Films needs to create more awareness of our environmental situation. I am honored that Facing East was recolonized for creating a film that will actually help spread the right message"
